HP has done a fine job with the Pavilion of
producing a laptop that has all the qualities that will make it one of the top rated for the year. The price is
reasonable and the machine gets done what you would expect it to get done.
Dell is still pumping out the Inspiron that has
been getting rave reviews from consumers for a couple of years now. Dell's Inspiron laptops have always been the
brand's middle-of-the-road workhorse: equally likely to turn up in a dorm room or coffee shop as at your mom's
Apple Macbook Air is a highly sort after laptop
that is by far on the top of the heap, but often stays relatively low on the list because of the price. Apple
does an exceptional job of creating a user friendly machine that is great for multimedia but that price point
keeps a lot of consumers a bit shy when it comes to the Macbook Air.
Toshiba Protégé is another top of the list for
2012 models you can expect to be popping up all over the place. Toshiba is historically a bit pricey when it
comes to laptops but this year they have come down in price a bit.
Rounding the top list out nicely is the Lenovo
series of think pads. These are all light weight models and they are priced right. The top
